Incentive Conditions

  • Operations in all economic activities are eligible, with the exception of those provided for in Article 8(2), (3) and (4) of the Specific Regulation of the Incentive System for the Digitalization of SMEs in the Autonomous Region of Madeira (RESIDP), with a special focus on those aimed at the production of tradable goods and services or which contribute to a better position in the value chain of these and do not concern services of general economic interest.
  • They must fit into at least one of the types of action:
    • Digital transition of operational processes, including production and logistics management and planning.
    • Solutions for advanced data storage, management and processing.
    • Artificial intelligence solutions applied to the production process.
    • Digital representations and virtual modeling (digital twins), simulation and industrial modeling.
    • Drafting and additive manufacturing.
    • Augmented reality, virtual reality and artificial vision projects applied to processes.
    • Collaborative and cognitive robotics, human-machine interface, cyber-physics systems.
    • Sensors and advanced electronics, Internet of Things, cloud and peripheral computing solutions.
    • Network, communication and advanced computing infrastructures associated with processes.
    • Innovative software, interoperability of systems.
  • Investment projects in cryptocurrency mining and blockchain are not supported.

  • Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises.
  • Minimum investment of 5,000 euros
  • The following are eligible:
    • Acquisition of machinery, equipment and software necessary for the digital transition, directly related to the development of the project (including computer equipment);
    • Patent rights and standard or specifically developed software;
    • Implementation of processes associated with e-commerce, namely:
      • Design and implementation of strategies applied to digital channels for managing markets, channels, products or customer segments;
      • User-Centered Design (UX): design, implementation and optimization of digital strategies centered on the customer experience that maximize attraction, interaction and conversion;
      • Design, implementation and optimization of Web Content Management (WCM), Campaign Management, Customer Relationship Management and E-Commerce platforms;
      • Registration and optimization of presence in electronic marketplaces;
      • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Advertising (SEA): improving the presence and ranking of e-commerce sites in search engine results for keywords relevant to awareness and traffic;
      • Social Media Marketing: design, implementation and optimization of presence and interaction with clients via social networks;
      • Content Marketing: creation and distribution of digital content (short text, long text, images, animations or videos) aimed at capturing the attention of and attracting target customers;
      • Display Advertising: placing ads on third-party sites, including search engine results pages;
      • Mobile Marketing: adapting the strategies set out in the previous points for viewing and interacting with customers on mobile devices, namely smartphones and tablets;
      • Web Analytics: collection, processing, analysis and visualization of large volumes of data generated from customer browsing and interaction in a digital environment, in order to identify patterns, correlations and relevant knowledge to support management and decision-making processes.
    • Costs of implementing telecommunication and internet access infrastructures and services;
    • Software for dematerializing invoicing;
    • Digital Mobile Key;
    • Initial costs associated with the domiciliation of applications, initial membership of electronic platforms, initial subscription of applications under “software as a service” schemes, creation and initial publication of new electronic content, as well as inclusion or cataloging in directories or search engines;
    • Implementation of other processes, such as:
      • Interconnection systems; sensors (Smart sensors and sensing enterprise);
      • Big data; augmented reality;
      • Additive manufacturing (3D printing); cloud (information in the cloud); artificial intelligence; cyber-physical systems (information and communication technologies; sensing and mechatronic systems to monitor and control processes and the entire value chain, mechatronics; robotics; cybersecurity;
      • Machine-to-Machine (M2M) and Human-to-Machine interfaces; Tools for Manufacturing as a Service (MaaS) and Apps for manufacturing; Systems for Intelligent and Flexible Production.
    • Expenditure on a report in the context of aligning the project with the “Do No Significant Harm” principle, up to a limit of €500.00 and for the purposes of Article 9(2) of RESIDP;
    • Expenditure on drafting, preparing and monitoring the application directly related to the design, implementation and evaluation of the project up to a limit of €1,000.00, for the purposes of Article 11(1)(d) of RESIDP;
    • Expenditure on the intervention of certified accountants or statutory auditors, per project, within the scope of validating the expenditure of payment requests, up to a limit of € 1,000.00 and for the purposes set out in Article 25(10) of RESIDP.
