Support is available for investment projects carried out by companies established less than two years ago, whose share capital is majority-owned by young entrepreneurs (with at least one young entrepreneur holding a majority stake compared to the combined participation of all non-young shareholders). Incentive Conditions

  • Support is available for investment projects carried out by companies established less than two years ago, whose share capital is majority-owned by young entrepreneurs (with at least one young entrepreneur holding a majority stake compared to the combined participation of all non-young shareholders). Eligible companies must operate in sectors with strong growth potential and contribute to the diversification and renewal of the regional business fabric.
  • Autonomous Region of the Azores.
  • Minimum eligible investment: €15,000
  • Maximum eligible investment: €350,000
  • 45% — São Miguel and Terceira Islands;
    50% — Faial and Pico Islands, and the municipalities of Nordeste, Vila Franca do Campo and Povoação (São Miguel);
    55% — Santa Maria, Graciosa, São Jorge, Flores and Corvo Islands
  • Bonus rates:
    • +5%
    • Companies incubated within the Azores Incubator Network or the Scientific and Technological System
    • Companies whose share capital is 100% owned by young entrepreneurs
    • Additional performance bonus (up to +5% for each criterion):
    • Compliance with the project implementation deadline;
    • Project merit;
    • Creation of qualified employment;
    • Sustainable construction.
  • Maximum funding rate:
    • 70%
  • Sole traders and commercial companies with their registered office or a permanent establishment in the Autonomous Region of the Azores, meeting the criteria for micro, small or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), whose share capital is majority-owned by young entrepreneurs.
  • A young entrepreneur is defined as a person who simultaneously meets the following conditions:
  • Aged between 18 and 40 years at the date of application;
  • Creates their own job position and is actively involved in the management of the business;
  • Holds the exclusive right to represent the company.
  • Construction and rehabilitation of buildings (limited to 60% of the eligible investment);
  • Acquisition of machinery, equipment and other assets (excluding fossil fuel combustion equipment);
  • Non-fossil fuel transport vehicles (subject to limits of €200,000 or €40,000 per vehicle, depending on the applicable rules);
  • Software, licences and web presence;
  • Trademarks and patents;
  • Feasibility studies, marketing plans, architectural and engineering projects (subject to percentage limits)
  • Non-Eligible Expenses
  • Acquisition of land and buildings;
  • Working capital;
  • Operating expenses;
  • Second-hand goods and equipment (except where specific exceptions apply)
