People 2030 Program opens applications for training and inclusion projects

The PEOPLE 2030 Program will support projects that promote the inclusion of people with disabilities and/or impairments, through initiatives that empower these individuals, their families, and professionals from different fields.

The PEOPLE 2030 Program is now open for applications to support projects that raise awareness and build the capacities of people with disabilities and/or impairments (PwD), their families, as well as leaders and professionals of non-governmental organizations of people with disabilities (DPOs).

The Call PEOPLE-2025-05 will provide support for initiatives that promote knowledge about the human rights of PwD, the development of autonomy and participation in all areas of life, ensuring their inclusion.

It is also aimed at specific audiences, namely professionals in the social, health, and education sectors, leaders and staff in public and private services, as well as professionals in the fields of justice, security forces, and communication.

The goal is to strengthen citizenship, rights, and autonomy for PwD, contributing to a more inclusive society.

The total indicative allocation for this Call is €2.5 million, of which €2.1 million is funded by the European Social Fund+ (ESF+). Projects must take into account the specific characteristics of the people involved, their living contexts, and the communities they belong to, promoting practices and decisions that foster full inclusion. Eligible operations may be developed in all regions of mainland Portugal, including Lisbon and the Algarve.

Entities eligible for funding include public and private legal entities that meet the criteria defined by the National Institute for Rehabilitation (INR, I.P.) and that demonstrably carry out activities in the field of inclusion of people with disabilities and/or impairments and human rights.

Applications must be submitted through the Balcão dos Fundos portal by 6:00 p.m. on September 15, 2025.
